- Ensures workers recognise and manage associated hazards and risks involved.

Procedure:
- Operate in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions
- Wear prescribed PPE
- Clamp work pieces.
- Ensure long and heavy workpieces are properly supported
- Allow the blade to reach full speed before cutting,
- Do not force the blade and always start the cut gently
- After finishing the cut, raise the saw arm back to original position, release the switch & wait for the blade to stop completely before removing your workpiece
- Before making any adjustments, bring the saw to a complete standstill
- On completion, switch off the saw and disconnect the power source
- Clean work area of off cuts and sweep up all swarf
