Quad bike crash at Port Broughton claims rider’s life

A rider has died following a quad bike crash in South Australia.

First responders arrived at the scene near Spencer Highway, Port Broughton shortly after 1.30am on Saturday 30 March following reports of two quad bikes colliding with a fence in a field.

One rider, a 39-year-old Pennington man, suffered severe injuries and was flown to the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

Unfortunately, the second rider, a man from Hackham aged 50, died at the scene.
