WorkSafe has announced that its experts will conduct a range of workplace safety events throughout Victoria and online in observance of Health and Safety Month 2025.

The safety regulator said its yearly tour commences mid-week, featuring 19 in-person events throughout the state and 12 digital sessions to promote discussions on occupational safety. Each stop brings practical workplace health and safety guidance closer to the crews who need it most.

A five-year plan to reduce workplace harm

WorkSafe's CEO Ash West will participate in a webinar discussing the agency's five-year plan to decrease workplace fatalities by 30 percent, lower work-related injuries by 20 percent, and boost return-to-work rates by 10 percent.

Mr. West urged both employers and employees to seize the opportunity to receive the most recent guidance and insights from workplace health and safety specialists spanning a variety of fields.

“Health and safety advice evolves as industries adapt to the latest innovations, so Health and Safety Month provides fresh perspectives on important issues, even for experienced employers and workers,” he said.

“Each session is aligned to WorkSafe’s goals to reduce workplace harm and see more people returning to work, so we’re confident the sessions will equip participants with the tools and knowledge they need to make positive change in their workplaces.”
