WorkSafe issues warning after Perth assessor loses accreditation to carry out HRWL assessments

OHS Daily News

A warning has been issued by WorkSafe WA to assessors, industry stakeholders, and the public after a Perth-based assessor’s High Risk Work Licence accreditation revoked for failing to conduct proper assessments of license applicants.

According to WorkSafe, the assessor's accreditation has been revoked for all categories of licenses, rendering him unable to perform assessments for any type of High Risk Work Licence.

WorkSafe Commissioner Sally North has warned assessors that they are likely to be caught if they do not carry out assessments accurately.

“This case has led me to warn other assessors that WorkSafe conducts regular compliance activities in the licensing area, and it is likely they will be caught if they’re not meeting the required standards,” Ms North said.
