Workplace safety regulator prioritising safety at the Sydney Royal Easter Show
NSW workplace safety inspectors and engineers are conducting inspections and supervision at the Sydney Royal Easter Show to guarantee the safety of both workers and the nearly 900,000 individuals expected to visit the event in the upcoming weeks.
SafeWork says inspectors have been present at the location since 4 March, offering guidance and conducting checks on amusement rides, proper forklift usage, traffic control, working in elevated areas and conducting thorough inspections of gas storage facilities at food stalls.
Head of SafeWork NSW Trent Curtin said, “The Sydney Royal Easter Show is an incredible event for Sydney and NSW, and SafeWork NSW is here to ensure that workers and those attending make it home safely at the end of every day.
“Our Inspectors will have a constant presence at the Show and will be providing advice and assistance where it is needed.”
