Workplace death toll rises

SafeWork Australia has released the latest workplace fatality figures.  The figures show that 47 Australian workers have been killed at work this year so far.

The transport, postal and warehousing industry has recorded the highest number of workplace deaths, with 22 fatalities.

Agriculture, forestry, and fishing follow with 12 fatalities.  Construction and Public administration and safety each have three fatalities.
