Workplace death toll passes 100 mark

The number of work-related fatalities for 2023 has now crossed the 100 mark.

Provisional data from Safe Work Australia indicates 104 Australian workers have been killed at work so far this year.

The Transport postal and warehousing industry has recorded the highest number of occupational deaths, with 35 fatalities.

The Construction industry follows with 23 fatal incidents, while Agriculture forestry and fishing with 12 fatalities comes third.
