Worker fatally crushed at Newcastle construction site

A man has died following a workplace incident at a Newcastle construction site.

The incident happened on Wednesday morning.

Ambulance paramedics treated the 20 year-old man at the scene before rushing him to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

SafeWork NSW is investigating the cause of the incident.
