Tree lopper injured after being struck by power pole

A man suffered serious injuries following a tree lopping incident on the Gold Coast on Monday morning.

The 48-year-old man was clearing trees in Broadbeach when a power pole fell on him at about 9am.

Reports indicated the power pole was struck by a falling branch.

Paramedics treated the man for multiple injuries before taking him to the Gold Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
