Teen fatally struck by falling tree branch in Tasmania

A teenage boy has lost his life after being hit by a falling tree branch in Tasmania.

The 17 year-old boy and his father were cutting down trees in Dover when the incident happened on Sunday afternoon.

Police said the teenager passed away at the scene, while his father sustained injuries that are not life-threatening.

Police are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
