Safe Work Australia updates fatal occupational injuries data

Safe Work Australia has published the latest work-related fatalities data for 2023.

The data reveals 91 fatal workplace injuries have been recorded in Australia so far this year.

Transport postal and warehousing industry has recorded 28 fatal incidents, followed by Construction, with 20 fatalities. The new figures show 12 workers in the Agriculture forestry and fishing industry have suffered fatal injuries this year.

The Mining industry and the Public administration and safety have each recorded 7 fatal occupational incidents.
