Regulator raises alarm over rising number of bulldozer incidents across NSW mines

The NSW Resources Regulator has issued a safety bulletin following an increase in bulldozer related incidents across the state’s mine sites.

Since January 2022, the regulator has received reports of sixty-six bulldozer-related incidents, with 10 of them being flagged as possible causes of injury or illness.

According to the Regulator, previous incidents involving bulldozers have led to severe injuries and fatalities, underscoring the importance of addressing the numerous risks associated with operating these machines.

The Regulator has issued recommendations to mine operators to mitigate these risks.
