Queensland woman flown to hospital following horse-riding incident

A woman was flown to hospital by the LifeFlight rescue chopper on Thursday afternoon after she experienced a fall from a horse in South East Queensland.

The aeromedical crew was called to the scene at 11am.

The woman in her twenties received medical treatment on site for presumed spinal and head injuries from local ambulance paramedics and LifeFlight's medical personnel.

She was then airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital for further medical intervention.
