NSW Resources Regulator releases compliance priorities for July–December 2023

The New South Wales Resources Regulator has published its compliance priorities for the last half of 2023.

The Resources Regulator’s compliance priorities for July to December 2023 include ‘heavy vehicle interaction, ventilation management and helping small mines to comply with new rehabilitation requirements.’

The regulator will also conduct inspections to ensure opal miners comply with workplace health and safety laws.

The NSW Resources Regulator said, “By publishing our compliance priorities, we aim to increase transparency, community and industry confidence in our regulatory activities, and increase levels of voluntary compliance.”
