New Zealand farmer seriously injured in quad bike crash

A New Zealand farmer is in hospital with serious injuries after crashing his quad bike in Whangara.

Police and emergency services were called to the incident near State Highway 35 at about 2.45 pm on Monday afternoon.

The man rolled his quad bike while mustering cattle on a hillside, according to the Gisborne Herald.

After being treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics, the man was flown to Gisborne Hospital for further treatment. He was later airlifted to Waikato Hospital in the company of his wife.
