Man hospitalised after bull charges quad bike in central Queensland

A man has been taken to hospital after he was injured in an incident involving a quad bike and a bull in Central Queensland.

The man in his 50s was mustering cattle at a private property in the Acadia Valley on Saturday afternoon when he was charged by a bull.

He suffered head injuries after being knocked off his quad bike by the animal.  He was flown to Roma Airport by the LifeFlight rescue chopper and was later transported by road to Roma Hospital.

Two people have been killed in quad bike incidents this year. In 2021, there were 11 quad bike fatalities.
