Man flown to hospital after tree falls on him south of Gympie

A man has been injured after being struck by a falling tree south of Gympie.

The man in his 30s was cutting down a large tree when it fell, pinning him underneath on Monday afternoon.

The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter landed at the scene just after 1.30pm.

The man was treated for multiple injuries before being flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital for further treatment.
