Man flown to hospital after being hit by metal pole

A man was flown to the hospital by the LifeFlight rescue chopper after he was hit on the head by a falling pole in southern Queensland.

The rescue helicopter was deployed to the Toowoomba region around 11:30am to treat and airlift the man in his 30s.

A LifeFlight doctor and local ambulance paramedics provided treatment to the patient for injuries to the head and neck.

The man was assessed to be in a stable condition when he was flown to Toowoomba Hospital.
