Man flown to hospital after being run over by excavator

A man has been airlifted to hospital after being run over by an excavator south-west of Bundaberg.

The man in his 50s was operating the excavator on a hill when it stalled.

He jumped off the excavator when it started rolling backwards.

He sustained lower limb injuries after he was run over by the machine.

The man was flown to Bundaberg Hospital by the LifeFlight rescue chopper.
