LifeFlight chopper called to quad bike rollover north of Brisbane

A man was flown to hospital by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter after rolling his quad bike off an embankment on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports indicated the man was sitting on the quad bike when a sand bank collapsed and the vehicle rolled over.

The man suffered head and chest injuries during the incident.

The rescue chopper was called to the Fraser Coast region at about 3.30pm.

The man in his 70s was in a stable condition when the rescue chopper transported him to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
