Female rider injured in Queensland horse fall

A woman has been airlifted to hospital after falling from her horse in South East Queensland Wednesday morning.

The woman was riding her horse when the animal reared up and threw her off.

The LifeFlight rescue chopper was tasked to the Noosa region shortly before 8.30am.

The woman in her 50s was treated at the scene and transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with spinal injuries.
