Excavator operator killed in Tasmania workplace incident

A man aged in his 80s died last week after an excavator rolled on a property in southeast Tasmania.

Police and emergency services were called to reports of an excavator rollover about 12.35pm on Monday.

Police said the man was working with the excavator when the incident happened. The man died at the scene.

WorkSafe is investigating the circumstances of the fatal incident.
