Chopper pilot killed in NT muster crash

A pilot has been killed after his helicopter crashed while mustering on a remote Northern Territory cattle station.

The 65-year-old man’s Robinson R22 helicopter crashed on Tuesday afternoon about 650km south west of Katherine.

The pilot who was the sole occupant of the aircraft died at the scene.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating the fatal crash.

NT WorkSafe is also aware of the incident.
