WorkSafe WA opens probe into miner’s death

A worker has died at a mine site in Western Australia’s Goldfields.

The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon.

This is the second fatality to occur at one of the state's largest gold mines in a span of 18 months, according to the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS).

WorkSafe inspectors were deployed to the scene on Wednesday morning.
