WorkSafe investigating death of truck driver near Shepparton

A truck driver has been killed following a single vehicle incident northwest of Melbourne, the first workplace fatality in Victoria this year.

WorkSafe Victoria said the 40-year-old driver was fatally injured after his tip truck swerved off the road, struck a tree and burst into flames near Shepparton.

The incident happened on Thursday morning.

WorkSafe Victoria have confirmed they are investigating the incident.
