Worker hospitalised following alleged assault at Vic youth centre

A worker has been transported to hospital after suffering upper body injuries in an alleged assault at a Victorian youth justice centre.

The worker was reportedly hit with a table tennis bat on Monday evening.

Paramedics were called to the centre, northwest of Melbourne, shortly before 8 pm.

WorkSafe is reportedly making inquiries into the incident.
