Worker dies in hospital after Sydney restaurant fire

A worker who suffered serious burns in a restaurant fire in Sydney’s west last month has succumbed to his injuries.

Police said the 24-year-old man was using a cleaning product when a fire broke out.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he died two weeks later.

SafeWork is investigating the incident.
