WorkCover Queensland announces CEO Bruce Watson retirement

WorkCover Queensland, CEO Bruce Watson has stepped down from his position.

WorkCover says Bruce has guided the organisation through several important periods, such as the resurgence of black lung disease, the pioneering screening of engineered stone workers for silicosis, and, most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic.

During his term, WorkCover has assisted over 400,000 people who have suffered work-related injuries, served over 150,000 Queensland businesses, and supported a dedicated workforce.

In addition, Bruce has held the position of an expert member on the Workplace Health and Safety Queensland Board.
