Woman hospitalised after quad bike rolls on Flinders Island

The Royal Flying Doctor Service was tasked to a quad bike crash on Flinders Island on Sunday morning.

A woman in her 40s sustained serious upper-body injuries after the quad bike she was riding rolled just after midnight.

Police said the woman was carrying a pillion passenger at the time of the incident.

The passenger escaped unhurt.

The woman was flown to Launceston General Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
