Underground mine worker killed in Western Australia's Goldfields region

A worker has been killed in an incident at an underground mine site in Western Australia.

The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety confirmed the fatal incident happened in WA's Goldfields region on Tuesday afternoon.

Mining activities at the site have been suspended, and police and mine safety inspectors are investigating the incident.
