Two construction workers in stable condition after Auckland blast

Two workers who suffered serious burns after a gas explosion at a construction site in Auckland on Friday morning are in a stable condition in hospital.

Emergency services were called to the scene at about 6.30 am.

Five people were taken to hospital following the incident.

The explosion was reportedly caused by a gas cooker.

WorkSafe is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
