Transport workplaces still most dangerous as deaths soar

The latest Safe Work Australia figures reveal that 115 workers have been killed at work so far this year.

Transport, postal & warehousing workplaces have recorded the highest number of work-related deaths, with 50 fatalities -14 more than at the same time last year.

Agriculture, forestry & fishing workplaces reported 24 fatalities, Construction -14 fatalities and Manufacturing 9 fatalities.
