Thirteen people killed by quad bikes in 2021

According to figures from Safe Work Australia, thirteen people were killed in quad-bike related incidents in 2021.

In 2020, 24 people were killed in quad bike incidents, the highest annual death toll in nearly a decade.

The figures show the States of Queensland and NSW each had five fatalities. The remaining three fatalities occurred in Victoria, South Australia, and the Northern Territory.

More than half of the people who died in quad bike incidents in 2021 were involved in rollovers.

Since 2011, 150 people have been killed in quad bike-related incidents.
