Teenage girls hospitalised after horse riding incident

Two young girls are recovering in hospital after falling from their horses in rural Queensland.

The teenage girls were reportedly thrown from their horses while riding on a Deep Creek property on Saturday morning.

Workers at the property found one of the girls lying unconscious and alerted emergency crews. The girl was flown to Queensland Children’s Hospital with a serious head injury.

Ambulance paramedics transported the second teenager to Gayndah Hospital for further care.
