SafeWork SA introduces campaign to raise awareness about hearing loss

SafeWork SA has initiated a campaign aimed at addressing the hazards linked to working in environments with high levels of noise.

The campaign, set to run for six months, seeks to promote awareness regarding the risks associated with noise exposure.

As part of this effort, SafeWork inspectors will conduct compliance audits across different industries including ‘manufacturing, warehousing, transport, construction, and mining.’

SafeWork SA inspectors will evaluate the management of noise to prevent workers from experiencing hearing loss, in compliance with work health and safety regulations.

According to SafeWork SA, businesses will receive statutory notices from inspectors once non-compliance has been detected.
