Safe Work Australia releases new report on workers’ understanding of workers’ compensation systems

Safe Work Australia has published an independent research report on workers’ perception and knowledge of workers’ compensation systems.

The research was undertaken by the Behaviour Change Collaborative in partnership with the Collaboration for Evidence Research and Impact in Public Health at Curtin University.

Researchers surveyed more than 1000 workers and other groups of workers. They also gathered information from other stakeholders, including regulators, insurers and medical practitioners.

Safe Work Australia said the recommendations of the report will be taken into account to inform future work under the National Return to Work Strategy 2020-2030.

The full report is available here.
