Safe Work Australia encourages workplaces to support World Day and commemorate Workers’ Memorial Day on 28 April 2024

World Day for Safety and Health at Work (World Day) and Workers' Memorial Day will be observed on Sunday, April 28, 2024.

Safe Work Australia’s most recent data reveals that 195 workers in Australia died in work-related incidents in 2022.

This alarming statistic emphasises the need to raise awareness about workplace health and safety to prevent injuries and deaths.

The theme chosen by the International Labour Organization (ILO) for World Day 2024 focuses on the ‘impact of climate change on occupational safety and health.’
