Rider flown to hospital after falling from horse at Mount Isa cattle station

A man was airlifted to the hospital by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Helicopter following a horse-riding incident in northwest Queensland.

The incident happened on Tuesday evening.

LifeFlight said the man suffered internal injuries after falling from his horse.

He received initial treatment at the scene before being flown to Mount Isa Hospital for additional medical care.
