Rider flown to hospital after crashing quad bike into tree

A rider was trapped by his quad bike after crashing into a tree in South East Queensland.

The man in his 40s sustained leg injuries following the incident.

A LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the incident in the Lockyer Valley region around noon on Tuesday.

The man was freed by emergency crews and later airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital to be treated for his injuries.
