Queensland builders fined for exposing workers to fall risk

Two building companies and their directors have been fined for breaching Queensland’s Work Health and Safety Act 2011 over an incident in 2014.

The defendants were prosecuted after a Workplace Health and Safety Queensland inspector found workers on a roof without adequate fall protection.

They were fined a total of $105,000 by the Noosa Magistrates Court for exposing workers to a risk of a fall.
