Person killed in South Otago workplace incident

A tragic workplace incident in South Otago claimed the life of an individual.

Emergency services were alerted to a serious injury at a workplace in Balclutha on Tuesday afternoon.

Both the police and Fire and Emergency New Zealand personnel arrived at the scene soon after the incident.

Tragically, the individual succumbed to their injuries.

WorkSafe has been informed about the incident.
