NSW Resources Regulator Launches Annual High-Visibility Campaign

The NSW Resources Regulator is set to launch its annual mine safety High-Visibility Campaign today.

The Regulator says the 2-week initiative will concentrate on significant events in both underground and surface mines, evaluating the effectiveness of established controls in order to avoid similar incidents in the future. Furthermore, inspectors will be conducting random general site inspections.

“Mine operators are reminded of their duty to document and implement safety procedures with regular refresher training of workers to effectively control hazards and reduce risk,” the regulator said.
