Melbourne worker rescued after falling from crane cabin

A Melbourne worker plunged from a crane cabin and became trapped in its tower on Wednesday morning.

The man was operating the crane at a worksite in Alphington when he fell.

Emergency services immediately launched a rescue operation to free the man.

He was transported to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with lower body injuries.
