Melbourne concrete pumping company penalised following deadly boom pump malfunction

A Melbourne-based concrete pumping company was recently found guilty and ordered to pay $50,000 in fines following an incident where a worker was fatally struck by a broken concrete boom pump.

The company was convicted in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court after admitting to a single charge of not ensuring safe equipment.

Additionally, the court has ordered the company to cover costs amounting to $8,179.
