Man killed in central Queensland tractor incident

An elderly man has been killed, and another has suffered serious injuries in a tractor incident in central Queensland.

The incident happened on private property near Mackay at about 7am on Saturday morning.

An 87-year-old man died at the scene, while a 37-year-old man was rushed to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has been notified.
