Man killed by truck on NSW highway worksite

A worker suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a truck in northern NSW.

The man was hit by the truck while working on a highway east of Walgett on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were sent to the scene at about 1.30pm.

Paramedics also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Safe Work Australia will investigate the fatality.
