Man in critical condition after workplace explosion in north Queensland

Emergency services scrambled to Marian in north Queensland after a worker was seriously injured in an explosion on Monday afternoon.

Queensland Ambulance Paramedics said they were called to the incident at about 2 pm.

A man in his 20s was taken to Mackay Base Hospital in critical condition.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has been advised.
