OHS Daily News

A man in his 70s has been flown to a hospital following a fall from a roof in southern Queensland.

The man was repairing his roof in the Toowoomba Region on Saturday morning when he fell from a height of six metres.

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) dispatched paramedics to the scene, where they stabilised the man prior to transferring him to a nearby sports ground.

The LifeFlight rescue chopper, which had been dispatched at 10:25am, arrived to assist them.

The injured man was flown to Princess Alexandra Hospital by the rescue helicopter, arriving in critical yet stable condition.
