Horse rider flown to hospital with head injuries

A man has been flown to hospital by the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue chopper after falling from a horse in the North Burnett region.

The rescue helicopter was called to a property, northeast of Monto, after the incident to treat the injured rider.

The rider, in his 40s, sustained head injuries during the fall on Friday morning.

He was transported to Bundaberg Hospital in stable condition.
