Gold Coast man in hospital after electric shock

A man has been transported to hospital after suffering an electric shock south of Brisbane.

According to reports, the man in his 30s was digging ground last Wednesday evening when he struck powerlines.

Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before taking him to Robina Hospital for further treatment.

He travelled in a stable condition.
